Section Maintainers,



The recent storms have hit some of the areas near the trail pretty hard. Ellijay and the Cherry Log area
had a lot of trees down in residential areas. I heard that a lot of trees were down on Bear Creek Trail,
but that is not part of the BMT. I have been out on the trail in Section 06d and it is in pretty good shape.
If you have a chance, now would be a good time to check out your sections for downed trees and limbs
on the trail. If you need help with chainsaw or crosscut, let me know. We still need some folks to sign
up for chainsaw training. Let me know if you are interested.
